The project was designed and constructed to blend in seamlessly with the original structure, an all brick office building. This was a fast-track project which made it imperative that the architect, owner and contractor work together as a team to achieve completion within the tight time constraints of the client.

Kayafas Architects designed and administered the construction of the original building for the Vineyard Christian Church in Wheeling, West Virginia, in 1997. In an effort to accommodate the vibrant and growing congregation we were commission in 2002 to implement four separate additions.

Our challenge here was to take a rather plain tenant space and create in it an exciting and energetic coffee house. The vision of the owners coupled with skilled contractors helped bring our design ideas to life.
