This addition for the First Baptist Church of Sistersville, in West Virginia, involved fitting classroom and fellowship spaces in a new addition as well as the reconfiguration of the existing Church to meet the needs of the growing congregation. The addition involved traditional detailing and materials that matched the character of the existing c.1910 structure.

The project included a separate prime contractor agreement, which allowed for reduced project cost. Kayafas Architects assisted in project management, and coordinated the purchasing of some items to provide additional savings for the church.

Kayafas Architects worked closely with the building committee during a two year planning, design and construction process. As a result the project was successfully completed in the Spring of 1999 within 5% of the initial budget.
