Architects received the 2003 American Institute of Architects Honor
Award;For Excellence in Craftsmanship for this custom home completed
in August of 2002
The client’s desire was to create a unique home utilizing
natural materials in a natural setting. An artful play of wood and
stone was desired to be used in combination with a metal roof to
emphasize simplicity and clean lines. The interior finishes were
to be warm and emphasize natural materials. Views to the exterior
and indirect lighting were highly desired to allow as much natural
lighting as possible into the home.
