Kayafas Architects designed and administered the construction of the original building for the Vineyard Christian Church in Wheeling, West Virginia, in 1997. In an effort to accommodate the vibrant and growing congregation we were commission in 2002 to implement four separate additions. The front foyer addition, see photograph below, was the first addition. This space is being well utilized as a coffee serving area as it enhances the existing structure with much needed informal gathering space.

Other additions completed in 2002 include the stage addition, which added 1,000 sq. ft. for the lively praise and worship services, and an office renovation and expansion project. The Fellowship Hall Addition is scheduled to begin construction in early 2003 and promises to be increase the church’s flexibility in serving its congregation and community.

Seamless integration of the addition into the original design is our specialty. We strive to create an addition that looks as though it was always there. The Fellowship Hall, due for start of construction in early 2003, is to be 3,024 sq. ft. addition including a full basement. This structure will provide for an additional open fellowship/meeting area served by a well equipped kitchen. The lower level of the addition will be utilized by the energetic youth ministries of the church
